Between 29th May and 2nd June the fifth edition of Venice Boat Show took place – international exhibition of vessels and nautical novelties. For the fourth year in a row, the company Podkrižnik d. o. o. also took part in the show. Podkrižnik is representing the brand e’dyn (electric dynamic nautics). E’dyn creates innovative solutions for electric propulsion technology in the nautical field. The brand offers smart propulsion systems for vessels, boats in several versions and with different power. With constant analysis and innovation, it enables the highest quality comprehensive solutions and manufacture products that are distinguished by reliability, strength, durability and superior appearance.

The exhibition took place in the historic Arsenal, a symbol of the centuries-old military rule of the Serenissima Republic, which has been transformed into an ideal venue for international shipbuilding excellence. Over 270 exhibitors and 300 vessels occupied a sea surface measuring 55,000 square meters, with more than 1,100 linear meters of quays and 30,000 square meters of outdoor exhibition space on the historic Theseus. The Venice Boat Show is also an opportunity to talk about environmental sustainability and the deepening of educational and sports activities, whose protagonists are the sea and the lagoon. Great importance is given to design and innovation, electric, hybrid and hydrogen propulsion, as well as the traditional shipbuilding of the lagoon, the pride of the amphibious city.

e-regatta

In step with the times – a large part of the exhibition area was also dedicated to e-boats, which represent the future of sailing. More than 30 different providers were exhibiting, which compete against each other every year at the already quite high-profile e-regatta. Slalom and Balerina are the disciplines that mark the agility and elegance of silent boats. The Podkrižnik company has celebrated victory with e’dyn at the e-regatta for three consecutive years (2021-2023). This time the competition was also truly fierce: Frauscher by Porsche, As Laburna, E-Jet, M800 Spider, De Antonio 23 and several other well-known e-regatta participants. However, e’dyn did not disappoint. In the Slalom discipline, it demonstrated the excellent performance of the electric drive with its boat: fast acceleration and precise handling of the vessel with the high power of the 25 kW e’dyn 2035 engine were more than enough to win the fourth consecutive victory. The e’dyn boat is extremely light due to its aluminum body, which in turn affects exceptional maneuverability, while the 28 kW battery pack ensures a long driving autonomy even under the highest loads.
